Welcome to Black Ruby Muay Thai and thank you for taking the time to learn about our training academy. Whether you are exploring Muay Thai training for the first time or seeking a serious place to train, we are honored to have you here.
Black Ruby is built on a simple philosophy passed down through traditional Thai training: action is reality. Progress is measured through effort, consistency, and results. Growth—both in Muay Thai and in life—comes from setting goals, committing to the process, and earning improvement through disciplined work.
Our training preserves the integrity of authentic Muay Thai, rooted in traditional methods from Thailand. Classes are structured, progressive, and designed to build strong fundamentals while developing students over time. We focus on effective technique, repetition, and real-world application—not trends or flash.
Black Ruby is a no-nonsense Muay Thai gym where respect, discipline, and personal development are central to training. Students are challenged to embrace the process, train with intention, and push beyond self-imposed limits in a supportive, professional environment.
Training here is a commitment to continual improvement. Through consistency and effort, students develop confidence, strength, and technical skill. We are fully committed to guiding your journey—physically, mentally, and technically—every step of the way.
Welcome to Black Ruby Muay Thai.
Mr. Pek, also known as Naront Siri, was a renowned Thai Muay Thai fighter and trainer celebrated for his devastating elbow technique and lifelong dedication to traditional Muay Thai. Known throughout Thailand as “The Black Ruby,” he built his legacy at Lumpinee Stadium, one of the sport’s most prestigious arenas.
Mr. Pek compiled an extraordinary 42-fight winning streak, with many victories coming by elbow knockout. After retiring, he founded Rompo Gym in Bangkok, becoming one of the first trainers to open authentic Thai Muay Thai training to foreign fighters. Through his teaching, he helped spread traditional Muay Thai worldwide and passed his knowledge to our head instructor, David Reese.
Remembered as a generous teacher and true ambassador of Muay Thai, Mr. Pek embodied respect, discipline, and technical excellence. Though he passed in 2022, his influence lives on through his students and their academies.
At Black Ruby Muay Thai, we honor Mr. Pek “The Black Ruby” by preserving his standards and carrying his legacy forward in every class, coach, and student.
