Mr. David Reese began Muay Thai training more than 40 years ago and, throughout that journey, have had the privilege of training with some of the most accomplished champions in the sport’s history. My lifelong dedication to Muay Thai led me to live in Thailand for over six years, during which time I competed in the ring more than 80 times under traditional Muay Thai rules. This combination of elite instruction and extensive fight experience has shaped both my teaching philosophy and my deep respect for the art.
Over the course of my career, I have trained at several world-renowned Muay Thai gyms, including FA Group, Chuwattana, and Rompo Gym. These experiences, along with the guidance of my teachers and decades spent competing and coaching, have afforded me the distinction of being the most experienced Muay Thai Kru in the Pittsburgh area.
I was deeply honored when Mr. Pek entrusted me with his fight name to be used for our training academy, allowing us to honor both his legacy and Muay Thai as a whole. It is with great humility that I carry forward his training philosophy and techniques and share them with students here at Black Ruby Muay Thai.
